Great Harbour Cay, Bahamas, 145 miles east of Miami, has beautiful white-sand beaches. Sugar Beach is its most renowned. Nestled there, in this tranquil paradise, is "BolaBeach" -- and this aerial view shows its magnificent setting!
Completed in 2003, BolaBeach is a centrally air conditioned 4-bedroom 3-bath house custom-built to our specifications -- with quirks like a bidet in the master bath. It can sleep 12, due to the two sofabeds in the Great Room. The large ocean-facing terrace and 15-foot diameter Tiki hut on the beach have fully-reclining lounge chairs with cushions and are perfect for enjoying a good book or one of Ernie's tropical drinks -- and there are 3 blenders in the house!
Not that you would want to lay idle, with all the things you can do nearby. Caves considered by some to be among the most beautiful spots in The Bahamas are only a short walk away. Huge fish and lobsters are a short swim away in the beautiful reefs off the beach, as can be seen in the pictures below. And the enigmatic Blue Hole in the middle of a nearby island, explored by Jacques Cousteau, is a short boat ride away.
