In Mt St Michel on the French Normandy coast after 3 days in Madrid
(a strategic fortification since ancient times over one kilometer from
the coastline, it could be defended by a tiny garrison as an incoming
tide of up to 46' drove off or drowned attacking armies; more here)
Maggie LOVED the B&B we stayed at near Mt St Michel,
which was converted from an ancient fortification
Maggie is often affected by a full moon. Thankfully, it had no effect here
Belvedere and Schönbrunn Palaces in Vienna, but
our favorite was the Lipizzaner horse show
